We have been patients of Dr. McNeil for about 20 years and couldn't imagine going anywhere else. He's taken care of many, many animals that have been a part of our family cats and dogs. We trust him completely with our pets and would very highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring, experienced veterinarian.

> Updating this review after a full year of ongoing care, and unfortunately, the initial warm impression did not hold up. After spending thousands of dollars here trying to get a diagnosis for my cat Daryl’s severe facial lacerations and recurring flare-ups, we have been left with zero resolution or answers. In fact, an urgent care vet recently pointed out that his issues may be exacerbated by a congenital eyelid condition—something Dr. McNeal's team completely missed after a year of "now what?" appointments. > Beyond the lack of medical progress, the bedside manner and administrative policies have deteriorated significantly. During our last visit, when we had to use a smaller backpack carrier because another carrier was out of commission due to an accident, Dr. McNeal was openly condescending. He tsked, completely misunderstood how the carrier functioned, unzipped the most awkward side, and made a big, theatrical production of scruffing Daryl rather than handling him with care. > To cap it all off, when I was trying to schedule a spay for a nervous rescue cat—while actively doing community TNR work—I was hit with a rigid deposit ultimatum because of previous scheduling hurdles, without any room for communication or acknowledgment of our heavy financial history with the clinic. We are taking our animals and our business elsewhere. If you are dealing with complex medical cases or community rescue work, save your money and look for a different vet to collaborate with. > I cannot recommend Ranchwood enough, especially for pet parents who are dealing with difficult or frightening medical situations. I brought in my formerly feral cat after an extreme allergy flare-up overnight that left him with severe facial injuries. After a poor experience elsewhere, I was incredibly anxious and scared that I would be judged for the state of his condition. My experience at Ranchwood was the exact opposite. Why they stand out: • Urgency & Compassion: Despite it being right before a major holiday, the staff worked us in the same afternoon. They treated us with nothing but warmth from the moment we walked in. • Judgment-Free Care: I never once felt like a "bad cat mom." The entire team acted as our partners, making it clear that our cat’s recovery was a common goal. • Expert Clarity: Our veterinarian Dr. Davis was phenomenal. She came up with a treatment plan that replaced my panic with confidence. One of the biggest reliefs was her realistic approach: she explained that we don't necessarily need to identify every single allergen right now; we just need to be equipped to control his reaction. • Thorough Education: Because his treatment included multiple medications (including a steroid taper), I appreciated how thorough the staff was in explaining the nuances of his dosages. I left feeling fully capable of managing his care at home. It is such a relief to find a team that is as knowledgeable as they are kind. We have officially found our lifelong vet and will be bringing the rest of our cats here from now on.

I have been using ranchwood ever since I've become a pet owner. Started when I lived in Moore right down the street from their location, and I continue using it even though it's about a 25 min drive and there are lots of vets near me. I do this because the people who work there actually care. They care when my pups are happy and stay ontop of me to make sure they are completely healthy they helped me get six more great years with my papillion snickers when he got diagnosed with heart issues. And they cried right along with me when it was time for him to go. They are amazing and it's why I continue to go there because they love my fur babies as much as I do. This will always be my go to vet no matter where I live in the city!

This place told us $3,000 to save a little dog wouldn't give us antibiotics they offered to finance the $3,000 we went to another vet all it cost us was $30 they fix the dog write up beware of these guys
